During this financial year She Writes Songs formally launched at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London platforming and showcasing original songs by women and girls in a concert that featured celebrity songwriters alongside up and coming songwriters. Subsequently, the CIC applied for and received kickstart funding from the Ronnie Scott’s Foundation towards delivering songwriting camps for women and girls (scheduled at the Roundhouse in June 2026) and encourages new partners to join our mission including Spotify and Metropolis studio in London.
She Writes Songs has consulted with our Board of Advisers and taken advice in board meetings on issues including outreach, inclusivity, community building and safeguarding for under 18 year old girls.
