Since our start in August 2024 our primary focus has been addressing the lack of local accessible youth provision in Bagillt. We have established a regular hub at Bagillt Library launching a series of children's clubs and community activities. These include Lego clubs and craft sessions. By brining these activities directly to the village we have reduced the need for families to travel to Flint or Holywell making enrichment accessible to those without transport. Our clubs have provided a safe space for local children to socialise learn new skills and strengthen their connection to their community.
We have actively consulted with parents, residents and Bagillt Councillors to ensure our services meet the villages needs. We used informal chats with parents, feedback forms and suggestion forms to gain various feedback and we posted leaflets to each household within the Bagillt village to get our name out there and what we hope to offer the community in the future. As a result of this feedback we adapted our two sessions to suit everybody and it has given us lots of ideas to help plan our future. We also maintain an open dialogue with Bagillt Community Council to align our work with wider village initiatives.
