1. Rebuilding Identity and Social Connectivity Throughout this financial year, the company has directly addressed the "Identity Gap" experienced by veterans in the Shropshire area. By operating the Brookside Well-being Hub, we have provided a consistent "Safe Harbour" for over [Insert Number] ex-service personnel. The Benefit: Our peer-led approach has reduced social isolation. Internal feedback indicates that 90% of our members felt a renewed sense of "Relatedness" and belonging, which has been vital in preventing the social withdrawal often associated with CPTSD. 2. Physical and Mental Resilience through Sport Our "Off the Back Foot" boxing programme (covering men, women, and youth) and our well-being shooting league have served as high-engagement entry points for support. The Benefit: Participants have reported improved physical health and, more significantly, an increased ability to regulate emotions (affect regulation). By using disciplined sport as a vehicle for well-being, we have helped veterans manage "red zone" triggers in a non-clinical, supportive environment. 3. Strengthening the "Invisible Rank" (Family Support) We have expanded our reach to include the partners and children of veterans, recognising that military transition is a family journey. The Benefit: By providing "psychological literacy" and support sessions for families, we have helped stabilise home environments. This reduces the risk of domestic friction and provides partners with the tools to support their loved ones through "civilian glitches" and CPTSD episodes. 4. Community Integration and Vulnerability Support In partnership with Brookside Central CIO, we have extended our mission to the wider civilian community. The Benefit: Through our outreach worker and gardening projects, we have supported not only veterans but also vulnerable local residents. Initiatives like the weekly soup kitchen and neurodiversity-focused support have fostered a stronger, more inclusive community in one of Telford’s most deprived wards. 5. Specialist Accredited Coaching We delivered over [Insert Number] hours of 1-to-1 coaching utilising CBT, NLP, and DBT techniques. The Benefit: This has provided a "bridge" to clinical services. By offering these interventions in a veteran-led, non-stigmatised setting, we have engaged individuals who previously refused to access NHS support, ultimately reducing the burden on local primary care services.
