During the period from 30 July 2024 to 31 July 2025, The Sexy Pace Run Crew CIC focused on establishing and growing an inclusive community running crew for women in the local area. The company organised regular group runs and beginner friendly running sessions designed to make running accessible, enjoyable and confidence building for adults of all abilities. All sessions were offered free of charge so that financial circumstances did not create a barrier to participation. The crew created a safe, welcoming and empowering environment where women who might feel excluded or intimidated by traditional sports settings could be active at their own pace, improve their physical health and build confidence in a non judgemental space. Through social runs and participation in wider community running events, the CIC helped participants to develop supportive friendships and a greater sense of belonging in the local community. Throughout the period the CIC operated on a voluntary, non trading basis with no income or expenditure recorded in the statutory accounts, but the activities undertaken generated social value by improving physical and mental wellbeing, promoting social inclusion, and encouraging long term healthy habits among participants.
The CIC has engaged informally with participants and local community members through conversations before and after group runs, messages on social media and feedback gathered via our online running community. This feedback has been used to shape run times, locations and pacing so that activities remain accessible, welcoming and relevant to those taking part. No formal written consultation processes were carried out during this first period.
