In the 2024/25 period, PathWSports expanded its support to further enhance both physical wellbeing and academic engagement among learners at Thobela Primary. Key Contributions: Full football kit to encourage team participation and discipline Running kit to promote fitness and endurance Burner equipment to support training sessions and physical development 2 warm coats for PE teachers to ensure consistent delivery of outdoor activities during colder seasons Impact Focus 2024/25 The 2024/25 initiatives are intentionally aligned with two core outcomes: Improved Wellbeing Increased participation in physical activity Better physical health and stamina Enhanced confidence and teamwork among learners Improved In Class Performance Physical activity supporting concentration and focus Development of discipline and routine through sports Positive influence on attendance and engagement
PathWSports has engaged stakeholders through informal and ongoing consultation methods, including: Direct conversations with PE teachers regarding equipment needs and challenges in delivering sports sessions Feedback from school leadership on areas where support would improve learner participation and wellbeing Observations of learners participation levels and engagement during activities General communication with supporters and donors regarding how funds are being utilised Key feedback highlighted: A need for appropriate sports kits and equipment to increase participation The importance of consistent physical activity to support learners focus and behaviour in class Challenges faced by staff delivering outdoor activities particularly in colder conditions In response to stakeholder feedback, PathWSports has: Provided football and running kits to improve participation and inclusivity Supplied training equipment burner to enhance the quality of sports sessions Purchased warm coats for PE teachers to enable consistent delivery of outdoor lessons Continued fundraising efforts to ensure sustainability and future support Future Consultation Plans PathWSports aims to strengthen stakeholder engagement by: Introducing more structured feedback from teachers and school leadership Exploring opportunities to gather input from parents and learners
