The activities provided multiple community benefits: Children learned valuable life skills, particularly basic cooking and food preparation Each session encouraged children to take home the food they had prepared, helping to address holiday hunger Activities reduced holiday boredom and supported positive use of free time Sessions encouraged social interaction, communication and collaboration between children Children were introduced to new, healthy ingredients and recipes, supporting positive attitudes to food Overall, the project supported wellbeing, confidence, independence and community connection.
