Year Ending: 31 July 2025

Company activities and impact

Our core activity during the reporting period has been to continue to develop the Cultural Heritage Digital Platform for conflict mitigation in Sudan and South Sudan. This work with the University of Khartoum in Sudan and the Community Engagement Network in Juba created a cultural heritage campaign in Sudan and South Sudan. The campaign allows community members to document and celebrate their diverse cultural heritage and build a more inclusive identity for their countries.

Consultation with stakeholders

Transformedia stakeholders fall into three main categories and every project is developed in deep consultation, partnership and dialogue with each. Special emphasis is placed upon working in equal partnership and under the guidance of the communities affected by armed conflict. The main categories of stakeholders are summarised below. 1. Communities affected by armed conflict in South Sudan and Sudan (in project locations): These stakeholders are the most important group for Transformedia Culture C.I.C to consult, listen and partner with. Every project engages a diverse range of community members depending on the precise need. All projects are developed from initial problems identified by communities affected by armed conflict. Transformedia Culture C.I.C discusses with community members to determine whether, and what, kind of skills and value Transformedia Culture C.I.C could bring to a solution. 2. Humanitarian and peacebuilding practioners: This group of individuals and organizations are key intermediate beneficiaries of Transformedia Culture C.I.C projects. As a result, Transformedia Culture C.I.C has a responsibility to ensure that our work is as useful as possible for this group. After ensuring that projects make sense and fit the demands of communities affected by armed conflict, Transformedia partners with humanitarian organizations with experience and expertise to ensure that work is conflict sensitive, does no harm, and benefits from any synergies with other programs. 3. Policy makers working on conflict areas: Policy makers have influence on the trajectory of conflicts. Transformedia Culture C.I.C has a responsibility to ensure that the work is as useful as possible for this group and is most likely to lead to the expected change in policy that is desired by communities and humanitarian expertise. Sample groups of policy makers are informally consulted before any advocacy or outreach programming is designed and developed.
