Our work sat at the intersection of education, social mobility and industry, connecting young people to opportunities in emerging sectors. By partnering with schools, communities and forward thinking organisations, we created meaningful pathways into further education, employment and entrepreneurship. At our core, we believe that talent is everywhere opportunity is not, and we are committed to changing that. Our Shaping Futures Programme initiative was part of that mission - supporting young people aged 14–24 to build the confidence, awareness and skills to form healthy, positive relationships and enter into employment.
AA Educates' stakeholders are the young people aged 14–24 it serves, their families and carers, the schools and alternative education settings it works within, community organisations and referral partners, corporate and employer partners, and the communities of Lambeth and Southwark more broadly. Who our stakeholders are: Young people from underserved communities in South London are our primary stakeholders. Secondary stakeholders include schools, children's social care teams, CAMHS, employer partners , community organisations, funders and the wider Lambeth and Southwark communities. How stakeholders have been consulted: Young people are consulted through a Student Advisory Board, to shape the direction of programmes, influence the opportunities offered and ensure their voices guide organisational decision-making. Pre- and post-programme assessments are completed by every participant, capturing feedback on their experience and progress. Co-design sessions are held at the start of each programme block, where young people shape the content of upcoming sessions. School partners and referral agencies provide ongoing feedback through termly partnership reviews and annual impact reporting. The AA Educates Board, which includes members with lived experience of the communities served, met in February 2026 and provided strategic direction on programme development, digital platform design, funding strategy and partnership priorities. Actions taken in response to feedback: Following feedback from young people, the programme has been developed to incorporate more creative and cultural elements, leading to the Own Your Path partnership with Trash Gxng. School partner feedback has driven the development of a standalone 1:1 mentoring offer for students with SEND. Board consultation in February 2026 resulted in a revised fundraising strategy focused on larger corporate asks, a phased digital platform build and an expanded independent school sponsorship model to increase reach and financial sustainability.
