Hillside Performing Arts CIC had a highly successful and impactful year throughout 2025, delivering a wide range of inclusive arts, dance, and wellbeing programmes across the local community. Our work continued to focus on improving physical health, emotional wellbeing, social inclusion, and creative engagement for people of all ages and abilities. One of our flagship programmes this year was Groove in the Grove, which brought together residents, families, and community members through vibrant outdoor dance and movement sessions. This programme created a welcoming environment where participants could enjoy physical activity, music, and social connection in a relaxed outdoor setting. Groove in the Grove successfully encouraged community cohesion, promoted active lifestyles, and provided accessible cultural experiences for local residents. Our Summer Club was another major achievement, offering children and young people an exciting programme of dance, performing arts, creative workshops, and physical activities during the school holidays. The club provided a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment where young people could develop confidence, creativity, teamwork, and new friendships. Parents consistently reported the positive impact the programme had on their children's wellbeing and social development. Throughout the year, our regular dance sessions remained central to our work. These classes catered to a diverse range of participants, from young children to adults, helping to improve fitness, coordination, confidence, and self-expression. Our sessions continued to be inclusive and accessible, welcoming participants from all backgrounds and abilities. We also expanded our work with older adults through our sheltered housing activities. These sessions used music, movement, and reminiscence to promote physical mobility, reduce isolation, and enhance emotional wellbeing among residents. The positive feedback from participants and staff highlighted the value of these regular interactions. Our dementia-friendly activities have continued to be particularly meaningful. Through carefully designed music, movement, and sensory sessions, we supported individuals living with dementia and their carers. These activities encouraged engagement, stimulated memory, reduced anxiety, and created joyful shared experiences. Families and care providers consistently expressed appreciation for the specialist support offered. As part of our Family Wellbeing programme, we delivered a series of family sessions designed to strengthen relationships, encourage healthy lifestyles, and promote positive mental health. These intergenerational activities enabled families to spend quality time together while participating in creative and physical activities that were both enjoyable and beneficial. We were also proud to play an active role in the Brent Active programme, supporting the borough's commitment to increasing physical activity and reducing health inequalities. Through this programme, we reached a broad cross-section of the community, particularly those who may otherwise face barriers to participation. Overall, 2025 has been a year of growth, innovation, and community impact for Hillside Performing Arts CIC. Our programmes have supported hundreds of participants, strengthened community connections, and demonstrated the transformative power of dance, movement, and the arts. We remain committed to expanding our reach and continuing to deliver high-quality, accessible services that enrich lives across our community. Sustainability remains a key priority for Hillside Performing Arts CIC. We continue to build strong partnerships with local authorities, schools, housing providers, healthcare organisations, and community groups to ensure the long-term delivery of our programmes. By diversifying our income streams through grants, commissioned work, participant contributions, and strategic partnerships, we are strengthening our resilience and capacity for future growth.
