COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

EVOLUTION HEALTH AND WELLNESS CENTRE CIC

Company Number: 15761706 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 June 2025

Company activities and impact

Evolution Health & Wellness Centre CIC was set up to make health and wellness services accessible to everyone in Wisbech. It operates as a not for profit community hub combining professional therapies, peer support groups and education. Key activities during the year included: Community groups: The centre hosted regular group sessions such as drumming & breathwork, flower arranging, guided meditation, sound bath and Tai Chi. These sessions are open to all levels; they promote stress relief, community bonding and creativity. For example, the drumming circle uses rhythmic beats to foster unity and inner balance, while Tai Chi classes help participants build strength, reduce stress and improve balance. Wellness workshops: Workshops like “Best Year Yet” guided participants through self reflection and goal setting, helping them create action plans for their wellbeing. Therapies: Qualified practitioners offered therapies such as reflexology for fertility and menopause, healing energy therapies, massage and mind based therapies. Fertility/Menopause reflexology, for example, focused on reproductive health and menopausal support through hormone balancing techniques. Drop in support and events: The centre arranged free drop in sessions, craft fairs and information events (e.g., talks on infertility and menopause). It also provided on site space for local social prescribers and peer support meetings (referenced in blog posts and the “News” section, not cited here for brevity). Subsidised and free services: Donations enabled Evolution to run 48 free weekly support groups and provide emergency mental health support to 26 local residents who could not access timely NHS services. The centre subsidises treatments so that cost is not a barrier. Community fund development: The centre worked on establishing a sustainable community fund to make services even more accessible in future. Supporters and partnerships: Local businesses, charities and the town council provided funding, services or grants. Supporters included Coote Safety Group, K J Carpentry, KG Sales, Paragon Fund, Premier Vending UK, Rob’s Bingo, Wisbech Masons and Wisbech Town Council.

Consultation with stakeholders

Stakeholders include service users, workshop participants, volunteers, local health professionals, donors, partner organisations and the wider Wisbech community. Consultation methods during the period included Feedback from sessions and workshops, collected through verbal debriefs and follow-up discussions. Informal consultations via social-media channels and the newsletter, where supporters could comment on services and suggest new groups. Engagement with local councils and community groups, including supporters like Wisbech Town Council. Surveys or sign-up forms for donors and supporters to gauge demand for new services. Feedback led to introducing new group sessions e.g. meditation and flower-arranging and adjusting session times to better accommodate participants.
