The CIC ran an annual cybersecurity conference. This was a non commercial student run event with very cheap tickets, £15 for professionals and £10 for students. There were two talk tracks and a number of workshops, with student speakers being given priority. There were in the region of 80 attendees and 15 speakers, who were all provided with lunch and dinner and refreshments throughout the event. This was funded through sponsorship and helped by a university letting us use their facilities free of charge. We helped the community through providing incredibly accessible cybersecurity training, and through helping promote ambitious students and early years professionals who got an opportunity to hone their public speaking skills.
