The club is a community-focused basketball organisation offering structured training and competitive opportunities for Under-14, Under-17, men’s, and women’s teams. It is open to individuals of all abilities, including those interested in trying basketball as a new sport. To promote community engagement, the club organised a “Basketball in the Park” event, inviting local residents to participate in introductory sessions and observe a 3x3 competition featuring club teams. This initiative showcased the club’s activities while fostering wider community involvement. Collaboration with local restaurants and entertainment providers contributed to the event’s success, supporting nearby businesses and enhancing the overall community experience. The club has also established partnerships with local schools, including Kings Heath Juniors and St George’s School in Edgbaston, delivering coaching sessions to students who may not otherwise have access to such opportunities. In addition, the club supports member development by facilitating access to officiating (table official) qualifications. This enables individuals to assist with game management while gaining valuable skills and potential income opportunities. Furthermore, the club provides mentoring for younger members, helping them build resilience, develop personal skills, and contribute positively to the club, their local community, and wider society
