We ran a weekly After School Club during term time where 30+ children aged 5-12yrs from the locality attended. Here we delivered a range of activities to include arts and craft, cooking, gardening and STEM. Our food stall continues to be successful and runs three days a week. We have 2 volunteers who support staff in running the after school club. On Mondays food is delivered to specific local residents who are vulnerable and are not mobile enough to make it to the stall to pick up produce. On Wednesdays and Thursdays we run a stall all day. Here residents can visit and pick up healthy produce for free. Thursday after school, children from Old Oak Primary School continue to volunteer and help to run the stall. We also have adult volunteers who help to run the stall on Monday Wednesdays and Fridays. The project still helps to reduce significant financial deprivation which remains prevalent in the locality. Our holiday club engages 70 children a day during the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays and 40 children daily over each half term holiday. Sessions run for 4 hrs a day and we provide a free, healthy hot lunch and a healthy breakfast each day. Holiday club is free for all children to attend and is for ages 5-12 years. We continue to be of benefit to Old Oak residents and help to provide those in need with nutritious food for free as well as arts and crafts and other extra curricular activities. Children attending have access to low cost healthy nutritious food in a high deprivation area, an increased awareness of reducing food waste, volunteering opportunities and pathways to employment, as well as assess to after school club and extra curricular activities for children aged 5-12 years.
We have held informal consultations with residents these are informal and general take place when we run our activities. Our youngest residents inform us, through these consultations, on how they want their services to be run, what activities they are most likely to engage in. This often takes place at the stall and during the sessions we run.
The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £37,006.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
