During this year, NuDawn CIC continued to pursue its community objectives. Activities included: - Mentoring/supporting over 126 creatives through; Educational workshops for creatives, poetry and open-mic showcases which featured undiscovered talent giving them a platform to gain valuable experience and to share their talent. - Hosting over 60 women throughout the year at our workshops covering topics affecting women such as menopause, domestic violence and how to better manage personal finances. - Supported more than 200 individuals affected by the Windrush Scandal by providing information, assistance in completing compensation forms and celebrating the contributions made by the Windrush generation to British society through events and showcases. These activities were carried out for the direct benefit of the community, with no private gain.
Our stakeholders include participants of our community programmes, local community groups, volunteers and partner organisations. We do not hold formal consultations but gather informal feedback during workshop sessions and after events. Where appropriate, we have taken this feedback into account when planning and delivering further activities. For example, during our monthly spoken word events, a couple participants requested to adjust the start time. We spoke to other participants and agreed a variation to the start time which worked for everyone. We take the interests of participants and partner organisations into account when planning activities even though no formal consultation has been carried out.
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
