During the financial year ended 31 August 2025, Perthformance CIC continued to provide singing and drama classes to children and young people within the local community. These activities have benefited the community in the following ways: Children and young people have been able to attend classes that build confidence and develop problem-solving, social, emotional and performance skills in an accessible and affordable (or free) environment. Children with additional needs have been supported and included within a safe, nurturing and inclusive setting. Teenagers have been offered a safe and positive environment on Friday evenings to learn drama skills, socialise and build friendships. A free two-course hot meal has al-so continued for those attending before class. Local adults have had opportunities to engage socially, helping to build community connections and informal support networks. Young people have participated in local performances and trips, increasing confidence and community engagement. Young people interested in pursuing a career in the arts have gained valuable voluntary experience supporting children with additional needs in drama activities.
The company’s key stakeholders include local children and young people, families, and members of the wider community. The director lives locally, has over 20 years’ experience working in community arts, and has direct insight into the needs of families in the area. This knowledge and experience have in-formed the development of the company’s activities and community interest focus. Ongoing informal consultation takes place through regular discussions with parents, partici-pants, and local community organisations. Feedback is actively considered and used to shape the structure and delivery of classes. Demand for classes remains high, with waiting lists now in place for some sessions, demon-strating continued community need and engagement.
