Building on prior Blood projects and experience, the project will focus on raising awareness, educating our target communities to encourage more donations and secondly, open dialogue; engaging and involving more of the Black youths to learn and educate themselves about the importance of blood and organ donation and the reasons why the BAME community’s requirements are high. Intended catchments focuses on Bristol and surrounding area. Bristol has a significant population of those from black African and Caribbean ethnic background. TRWAC directors are from the target group, worked in the community.
1.Enagage students through Educational Campaigns: Hosting awareness and guest speaking opportunities. 2.Engage future youth champions: As part of school programme, run a campaign event for young black people to co-create promotional ideas to engage their peers. 3.Community Engagement: Faith: Host informational sessions and blood drives, leveraging the trust these organisations have within the community. 4. Community Partnerships: Collaborate with Black community organisations and advocacy groups to co-host blood drives and outreach events. The aim and objective of the consultation with stakeholders is to address mistrust by providing clear and honest information about Facets and benefits of blood and organ donation for the target groups
