COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

LONDON SKILLS CENTRE CIC

Company Number: 13518380 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 July 2025

Company activities and impact

During the 2025 financial year, London Skills Centre CIC continued to strengthen its role as a community-focused training and employability provider, supporting individuals who are not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) through accessible and inclusive learning opportunities. The company delivered a range of free and subsidised training programmes in Employability Skills, ESOL, IT Skills, and Functional Skills, helping beneficiaries improve their confidence, gain practical qualifications, and enhance their access to employment opportunities. Particular focus remained on supporting disadvantaged individuals and those from BAME communities who face barriers to education and the labour market. Although securing external grant funding remained challenging during the year, the organisation successfully developed more sustainable income streams through partnership contracts, training delivery services, and regular donations. In particular, London Skills Centre CIC provided training workshops and staff development support to Axis Educational Trust, alongside delivering online employability and professional development training for Feza Schools in Tanzania. These partnerships played a significant role in improving the organisation’s financial consistency and operational sustainability. The income generated through these contracts enabled the CIC to continue offering free workshops, guidance sessions, and community courses for local beneficiaries without interruption. This helped establish a more stable delivery model, reducing reliance on grant funding alone and allowing longer-term planning of community support activities. Throughout the year, the organisation also delivered community-focused workshops addressing key social and economic challenges, including financial management, budgeting, employability preparation, digital inclusion, and support related to the ongoing cost-of-living pressures affecting vulnerable families and individuals. As a result of these activities, many beneficiaries were able to improve their digital literacy, communication skills, workplace readiness, and overall confidence. The company remains committed to supporting social mobility, reducing barriers to employment, and creating opportunities for disadvantaged members of the community through education, skills development, and partnership working.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s directors and shareholders remained actively involved in the strategic direction, operational management, and development of the organisation throughout the 2025 financial year. Regular consultation and communication took place with a broad range of stakeholders, including young people, unemployed adults, local families, individuals from disadvantaged and BAME backgrounds, partner organisations, local authorities, job centres, and community groups. The organisation also received valuable feedback through its training partnerships and service delivery contracts with Axis Educational Trust and Feza Schools. These consultations provided insight into the ongoing employability, digital skills, and educational support needs of beneficiaries both locally and internationally. Feedback gathered through meetings, informal discussions, surveys, and ongoing engagement activities was used to shape and improve the company’s programmes and services. In response to stakeholder input, the organisation continued to strengthen its employability-focused workshops, expand online learning opportunities, and provide more flexible and accessible training provision tailored to community needs. This ongoing consultation process has helped ensure that the company’s activities remain relevant, inclusive, and responsive to the changing social and economic challenges faced by the communities it serves.
