COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

MINDS AT WAR CIC

Company Number: 15129382 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 September 2025

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, Minds At War CIC continued its work supporting veterans, serving personnel, and individuals affected by mental health challenges, including PTSD, suicide ideation, social isolation, and general wellbeing issues. The company provided peer support, welfare assistance, signposting, and practical help to members of the veteran community and individuals experiencing hardship. Support was delivered through direct engagement, awareness raising, community outreach, and the development of support networks intended to reduce isolation and improve wellbeing. The CIC also worked to increase awareness of mental health issues affecting veterans and their families, helping individuals access appropriate support services and community resources. Although operating on a small scale during the year, the company maintained its commitment to community benefit and continued developing its activities in line with its social objectives. The organisation operated with reduced expenditure compared to the previous year and focused on maintaining sustainable support services for beneficiaries. The directors consider that the activities undertaken during the year have provided a positive community benefit consistent with the company’s stated objectives as a Community Interest Company.

Consultation with stakeholders

During the financial year, Minds At War CIC engaged informally with veterans, service personnel, supporters, and members of the local community to better understand the challenges affecting mental health, wellbeing, and social isolation within the veteran community. Feedback from individuals accessing support and from community contacts helped inform the company’s activities and priorities, particularly in relation to peer support, awareness raising, and practical welfare assistance. The company also maintained communication with supporters and individuals connected to the veteran and mental health sectors to help identify areas where additional support and community engagement may be beneficial. The directors use this feedback to help shape the CIC’s future activities and ensure that its services continue to provide community benefit in line with the company’s objectives.
