During 2025/6 The Outdoor Club CIC has delivered over 25 different session to the local community, including baby, toddler, child, adult and family sessions linked to the aims of the CIC, allowing over 200 people to benefit from our provision. We have also continued to deliver sessions for the local community to access their green spaces. These sessions have focused on connecting individuals with the outdoors and each other. The sessions have included learning about the local areas, develop skills lined with the outdoors and build communication skills. The sessions have opportunities to learn about the local flora and fauna, following the seasons of the year engaging in nature based activities and crafts. This year we have run more outdoor wellbeing sessions, which have a focus on introducing strategies and activities designed to promote positive mental health in the outdoors. Using the seasons as a guide to lead gentle mindfulness and grounding activities, introduce a craft and form a community. The sessions have included outdoor stay and play groups, wellbeing sessions for new parents and for families with young children, sessions that focus on Forest School, as well as outdoor wellbeing sessions that focus on community connection. We have continued to work collaboratively with other local organisations and charities to meet these aims e.g a Saturday morning pop up cuppa club to coincide with the nature reserve’s volunteer morning.
PART 2 – CONSULTATION WITH STAKEHOLDERS – Please indicate who the company’s stakeholders are; how the stakeholders have been consulted and what action, if any, has the company taken in response to feedback from its consultations? Our key stakeholders are families, individuals, children and adults within the Northamptonshire area. We also work with local charities, organisations such as childminders and are working on a wider scale with other Forest School practitioners across the East Midlands. Other key stakeholders include our directors, volunteers and supporters. We gain feedback from our stakeholders by asking for feedback during sessions and at intervals throughout the year and work closely to ensure that the needs of the green spaces are accounted for. The feedback is normally verbally, with occasional written feedback. We also gain reviews on social media. For all feedback, there is the option for it to be anonymous. We ask individuals to identify what they have enjoyed and what they would like to see more of. The feedback is very positive with the participants indicating that they enjoy the family time outside during the holidays and playing alongside others and having the opportunity to be outside and enjoy our local environment. From the adult wellbeing sessions the feedback is obtained during the reflection closing the sessions and this has also been positive, with many of the participants indicating that they have enjoyed being able to add various strategies or activities to their mental health toolkit and have also just generally enjoyed the opportunity to slow down and engage with nature as an adult. This year, feedback has continue to indicated that sessions need to remain affordable for all, with free tickets available for those that need it. We are in the process of applying for funding to allow the sessions to be run at an affordable cost, or free to the participants where possible. Participants have also asked for more sessions to be put on. Funding will allow us to continue with this provision.
Directors have been paid for their services of running sessions Ellie Bavester - £1,100, Emma Wiid - £150 Other directors: “no remuneration was received”
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
