During the financial year, Connecting De Dots CIC supported artists and community engagement through creative and cultural activities. The company organised a festival project in 2024, with funding used to support artists through performance opportunities and reduced rehearsal fees. The company’s activities benefited the community by supporting independent artists, encouraging creative participation, and promoting access to arts and cultural events within the local community. The company also began developing future initiatives aimed at supporting young marginalised people through production skills training and creative development opportunities. In addition, the company is working towards establishing holistic workshops and support programmes for Black women during maternity. During the financial year, work focused on infrastructure planning and development, although funding had not yet been secured.
The company consulted with art performers, community members, and local creatives throughout the year to understand community needs and improve future programmes and services. Feedback and discussions with stakeholders helped identify opportunities to further support emerging artists, young people, and underserved groups within the community.
