During the financial year, Bristol Eastern European Community CIC worked to support the Eastern European community in Bristol and the surrounding area. The company’s activities focused on providing community support, information, guidance and assistance to individuals and families, helping them access local services, understand available support and feel more connected within the community. The company also worked to promote integration, reduce isolation and support community wellbeing. Although the organisation was still in its early stage of activity during this financial year, its work was carried out for the benefit of the community and in line with its community interest objectives. As the company generated a financial loss for the year, no surplus was distributed and all resources were used or retained for the company’s community purposes.
During the financial year, the company engaged with members of the local Eastern European community, including individuals and families who may benefit from the organisation’s activities and support services. Consultation took place through informal discussions, community engagement and direct communication with community members to better understand local needs and challenges. Feedback received helped the company identify areas where support, guidance and community-focused activities would be most beneficial. The company used this feedback to help shape its objectives and planned activities in order to provide services that are relevant and beneficial to the community it serves.
