Community Switch Sports CIC facilitates 8 inclusive, low cost sport sessions per week for children in West London. These include evening, weekend and after school sessions and are delivered to children aged 4-13. We run these sessions throughout term times and holidays and charge 25% off rates to our local members, those on universal credit and siblings of participants. We also work with local social workers to ensure that vulnerable children are accessing our services. All our coaches are ex-participants who used to access our services and want to now do work experience. Parents always tell us it makes a huge difference and improves their child's behaviour and attitude towards work ethos and schooling. We receive funding for much of our services meaning we can afford to employ more local staff and charge a lower rate for local families. Our impact means that everyone is welcome and feels part of their community, safe and valued. This in turn helps our children to trust authority figures more, preventing them from getting involved in crime/gangs, prevents truancy from school and helps overall mental and physical wellness.
