These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.
The directors have chosen to not file a copy of the company’s profit and loss account under section 444 (5A) Companies Act 2006.
The members have agreed to the preparation of abridged accounts for this accounting period in accordance with section 444(2A).

1.	Accounting policies

	Statutory information
	The company is a private company limited by shares and registered in England and Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.

	Statement of compliance
	The financial statements have been prepared in compliance with FRS 102 Section 1A as it applies to the financial statements for the period and there were no material departures from the reporting standard.

	Turnover policy
	Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services.

	Current taxation
	Current tax is recognised on taxable profit for the current and past periods. Current tax is measured at the amounts of tax expected to pay or recover using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted at the reporting date.

	Financial instruments
	A financial asset or a financial liability is recognised only when the entity becomes a party to the contractual provisions of the instrument. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised at transaction price and measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method. Where investments in non-derivative financial instruments are publicly traded, or their fair value can otherwise be measured reliably, the investment is subsequently measured at fair value through profit and loss. All other investments are subsequently measured at cost less impairment. Financial assets which are measured at cost or amortised cost are reviewed for objective evidence of impairment at each balance sheet date. If there is objective evidence of impairment, an impairment loss is recognised in profit or loss immediately. All equity instruments, regardless of significance, and other financial assets that are individually significant, are assessed individually for impairment.

5.	Related party transactions
	During the year, the company entered into the following transactions with related parties: Dividends of £1,234,000 were declared and credited to DCD Holdings Limited. At the balance sheet date DCD Holdings Limited owed the company amounts totalling £10,338 (2024: £10,323) and DCD Employee Ownership Trust, owed the company amounts totalling £103,230 (2024: £103,230).

6.	Controlling party
	The company’s immediate parent undertaking is DCD Holdings Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales. The ultimate controlling party is Scrutton EOT Trustees Limited, which holds an indirect controlling interest in the company through DCD Holdings Limited. Scrutton EOT Trustees Limited holds this interest as trustee for the DCD Employee Ownership Trust.
