During the financial year, the company focused on the development and preparation of Mimi’s Creative Space, a community-based creative arts initiative supporting children and families. Although external funding has not yet been secured and full programme delivery has not commenced, the company continued to undertake activities intended to provide future community benefit. The company’s activities and intended community impact during the financial year included: developing plans for inclusive creative workshops and arts-based learning activities for children and young people creating SEND-friendly art resources and themed educational workshop content to support creative development, confidence, and self-expression planning one-to-one creative support sessions for children requiring additional support or personalised creative learning opportunities researching and organising educational visits to galleries, museums, and creative spaces to broaden children’s access to arts and cultural experiencesengaging with families, educators, and community contacts to identify local creative and educational needs promoting awareness of accessible and inclusive arts participation for children of different abilities and backgrounds exploring partnerships, funding opportunities, and community collaborations to support future delivery of affordable and accessible creative programmes The company will continue working towards securing funding and establishing sustainable community arts activities for children and families within the local area.
During the financial year, the company consulted informally with parents, educators, families, and community contacts while developing plans for Mimi’s Creative Space. Discussions focused on identifying the creative and educational needs of children and families within the community, including the need for accessible, inclusive, and SEND-friendly creative activities. Feedback received supported the development of plans for future workshops, one-to-one creative sessions, and educational arts visits. The company will continue to use stakeholder feedback to help shape future activities as funding opportunities become available. That wording is safe, professional, and accurate even if the organisation is still in the early stages.
