During the financial year, Live Better Liverpool CIC delivered community activities focused on sustainability, food education, wellbeing, and social connection within the Toxteth and St Michael’s communities of Liverpool. The CIC provided community cooking sessions, workshops, family activities, and environmental projects which encouraged healthier lifestyles, practical learning, and community participation. Activities were designed to be affordable and accessible to local residents from diverse backgrounds. Funding received during the year supported venue hire, food supplies, workshop materials, and facilitator costs, enabling activities to remain low-cost or free to participants. The company worked alongside local organisations including Toxteth TV and John Archer Hall to create welcoming community spaces and opportunities for volunteering, learning, and social connection. The company’s activities benefited local families, volunteers, and community members by reducing social isolation, encouraging community engagement, and increasing access to creative and sustainable activities within the local area.
Through feed back forms both on line and in person at our events. Weve discovered that this year we will focus on more screen free family events. The feed back has been increadable and will shape how we run things in to our 2nd year.
A payment was made to The Gluten Free Pie Company for workshop delivery, facilitation, and community activity services provided during the financial year. Matthew Snape, a director of the CIC, is connected to The Gluten Free Pie Company. The payment related to delivery of community projects and workshop activities in support of the CIC’s objectives.
