Company activities and impact

The company activities this year have included mainly services to schools (70+) in relation to PE, Sport, Physical Activity and Wellness. Services: Competitions and festivals in sport Sports Coaching and Activities for primary school children In school support for primary teachers from specialist PE teachers A programme of CPD courses for teachers County Wide PE and School Sport Apprenticeship Scheme Leadership and volunteering opportunities for young people in Secondary Schools. Programmes for disabled young people and less active children Programme for girls who are less active Fitness coaching delivery in schools and the community Mental health and wellbeing programmes for staff and children Engaging schools with integrating regular physical activity into their school day. Early years programme targeted at nursery and reception age children. Community Clubs for the least active children in the most deprived areas The activities above benefit the community by: Providing competitive sport and participation opportunities for young people Providing a wider range of activities for children and young people to meet differing motivations. Improving the quality of PE for all primary age children Employment and training opportunities for local people Engaging the least active in activity and healthy active lifestyles Improving mental health and wellbeing across the area Improving physical health across the area Improving fitness levels across the area Engaging new children in activity who may have been disengaged from the traditional offer Increased employability skills of apprentices Increased opportunities to be active outside of school In summary, our services inspire and build healthy, active lifestyles, leading to happier and healthier communities.

Consultation with stakeholders

Termly meetings/consultation with PE Subject Leaders from Schools to discuss provision. Regular Surveys to consult on individual projects or ideas. Headteachers consulted via email and phone call for advice. Regular full staff meetings internally. The feedback from schools shapes our service offer significantly.
