  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover comprises the fair value of the consideration received or receivable for the sale of goods and provision of services in the ordinary course of the company's activities. Turnover is shown net of sales/value added tax, returns, rebates and discounts. The company recognises revenue when: The amount of revenue can be reliably measured; it is probable that future economic benefits will flow to the entity; and specific criteria have been met for each of the company's activities.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Depreciation is charged so as to write off the cost of assets, other than land and properties under construction over their estimated useful lives.

    Other accounting policies

    Cash and cash equivalents comprise cash on hand and all call deposits, and other short-term highly liquid investments that are readily convertible to a known amount of cash and are subject to an insignificant risk of change in value.

Company activities and impact

A local community group who work freely as volunteers and are known as "friends of the station" We are raising funds and providing volunteer work to bring local character and life to our local station, supporting West Midlands Railway, local passengers and the town's community. Continued work on platforms and perimeter of the station with urban gardens to enhance the rail experience of passengers using our station.

Consultation with stakeholders

Further discussions about projects along the Chase Line and the restoration of the railway carriage still underway, before it can be situated at a given site for the community use as a Hub.
