NAAFI Break CIC was established to support community wellbeing, reduce social isolation and create positive opportunities for people through community-led activities, support services and engagement projects. During the financial year the company worked to support veterans, local residents, disadvantaged individuals and members of the wider community through wellbeing initiatives, social support, outreach activities and collaborative community projects. The company provided safe and inclusive spaces where individuals could access peer support, community engagement opportunities and practical assistance. Activities included community events, wellbeing support, signposting services, mentoring, partnership working and initiatives designed to improve confidence, resilience and social connection. The NAAFI Break CIC continued to develop relationships with local organisations, community groups and stakeholders in order to strengthen support networks and maximise community impact. Any surplus generated by the company was reinvested into furthering the company’s community interest objectives and supporting the continued delivery and development of services for the benefit of the community.
The company’s stakeholders include local residents, veterans, community organisations, service users, volunteers, partner organisations and supporters. Stakeholder consultation has taken place through informal discussions, direct feedback, meetings, community engagement activities and ongoing communication with service users and partner organisations. Feedback received has helped the company to improve the accessibility of activities, identify areas of community need and shape future projects and services. The company continues to use stakeholder feedback to ensure its activities remain community-focused and responsive to local needs.
