  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable and represents amounts receivable for goods supplied and services rendered.

    Other accounting policies

    Financial Instruments A financial asset or a financial liability is recognised only when the entity becomes a party to the contractual provisions of the instrument. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised at the transaction price, unless the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, where it is recognised at the present value of the future payments discounted at a market rate of interest for a similar debt instrument. Debt instruments are subsequently measured at amortised cost.

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, the company carried out a range of community focused activities designed to support people across Teesside who may be experiencing isolation, low confidence or challenges affecting their wellbeing. The company provided regular group sessions, physical activity opportunities, informal support, and opportunities for social connection. These activities were delivered in accessible community settings and were open to individuals from a wide range of backgrounds. The company also offered practical assistance to people facing financial or personal difficulties, including signposting, basic support and access to essential items where possible. Online platforms were used to maintain contact with community members, share information and encourage ongoing engagement. Across the year, the company’s work helped individuals build confidence, improve their wellbeing, develop positive routines and strengthen their connection to others in their local area. The activities contributed to reducing isolation and supporting healthier life-styles within the community the company was established to serve.
