Over the past year the company has continued to work with the three independent nations (Scotland, England & Wales) to focus on the development of the sport across the nation for all members and national organisations. A number of events have been hosted, to bring the three nations together to enjoy the sport together and targeted these events at different levels of ability and participation so that players are alongside others of similar levels to help develop, as well as including events which include players of different levels and coaches so that continuous development is available. Great Britain FootGolf (GBFG) have also worked to ensure access to international level events, working alongside the world governing body (Federation for Internation FootGolf) to ensure that there is representation from GB on an international level. Through the activities of the company, players have benefitted from continuous development and this has shown through the increased quality of play that players have shown and progression they have made in the sport. The company have also looked at options for developing more social play, increasing participation in sport, placing particular focus on the physical and mental health benefits of interacting with others, being outdoors and active.
The company consider any member of one of three national organisations in Scotland, England or Wales to be it’s primary stakeholders. Each individual nation carries out regular consultation with its members and then this is fed into GBFG for consideration on how opportunities and developments can be made across all nations for the benefit of all.
