The company's principal activity is that of the provision of educational support services for schools and higher education establishments to promote interest in science and other national curriculum subjects.

The company is a not for profit organisation and all revenue generated is used to further the company's activities. Operational deficits are financed by the directors as required on a purely voluntary basis.

The company's activities commenced on 1 February 2016 under the name Discovery Project Education. The company's name was changed on 9 September 2016 to Discovery STEM Education.

For the year ending 31 August 2025 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.
The member has not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.
The director acknowledges her responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.
These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the micro-entity provisions and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.
