Company activities and impact

The company runs Stiwdio Olivet, an artist studio complex and creative hub in Wrexham with a particular emphasis on supporting emerging artists, local creatives, and community engagement across North Wales. Since opening, Stiwdio Olivet’s activities have benefited the community in the following ways: 13 local artists and creatives have been provided with affordable studio space, resources, and opportunities to develop their practice within a supportive creative environment. More than 50 members of the local community have been able to take part in workshops, events, and public engagement activities hosted at the studios, increasing access to arts and culture in the area. Recent graduates and early-career artists in North Wales have benefited from mentorship, networking opportunities, and professional development support through the studio community. The studios have created opportunities for collaboration between artists, organisations, and local residents, helping strengthen Wrexham’s wider cultural landscape Stiwdio Olivet has supported the growth of a sustainable creative network in North Wales by providing a platform for experimentation, exhibition-making, and community-led cultural activity.
