During the financial year ending August 2025, Selectivelife CIC delivered a range of impactful initiatives aimed at supporting and empowering vulnerable members of the community, especially for women. A central focus of our work was mental health and emotional wellbeing. We facilitated eight series of virtual workshops for vulnerable women, providing essential guidance on mental health awareness, practical coping strategies, and tools to build resilience during challenging times. These sessions created a safe and supportive space for participants to share experiences, learn from one another, and develop meaningful connections. Alongside our virtual programmes, we organised in-person community meet-ups in the Erith and Bexley areas. These gatherings helped to strengthen social networks, reduce isolation, and offer direct support through peer engagement, networking, and the sharing of valuable resources. One of our flagship initiatives in 2025 was a dedicated event focused on emotional wellbeing and domestic abuse. Delivered in partnership with like-minded organisations and attended by 22 participants, the event highlighted the impact of domestic abuse while exploring strategies for emotional recovery, prevention, and support. The programme featured expert speakers, survivor testimonies, and contributions from service providers, raising awareness and equipping attendees with vital knowledge and access to support services. Through these activities, Selectivelife CIC continued to advance its mission of promoting wellbeing, empowerment, and stronger, more connected communities.
At Selectivelife CIC, we place great importance on listening to and working closely with our stakeholders. It is a core part of how we operate, and we are committed to making sure our work is inclusive, transparent, and truly reflects the needs of the communities we serve. Throughout the year, we actively involved a wide range of stakeholders, including our staff, volunteers, beneficiaries, partner organisations, and community representatives, in shaping our activities. We gathered their input through virtual sessions, face-to-face meetings, and ongoing informal feedback. This approach helped us design and deliver programmes that were relevant, culturally sensitive, and meaningful to those we support. Our stakeholders also played an active role in delivering our events. Many contributed their expertise, lived experiences, and local insight, which added real value to our work and helped us reach more people effectively. Their involvement strengthened trust, encouraged openness, and ensured we remained accountable in our decision-making. This way of working continues to guide us at Selectivelife CIC, helping us deliver programmes that are not only responsive to community needs but also sustainable and impactful.
