The club practises Shorinji Kempo, a Japanese martial art, and trains twice weekly at William Morris House, 267 The Broadway, Wimbledon, SW19 1SD. The club currently has 15 active members. During the financial year, the club's activities have benefited the community in the following ways: * 15 members have had access to regular structured physical activity, contributing to their fitness, mental wellbeing, and stress relief through twice-weekly training sessions * 4 new members have been welcomed into the club during the year, broadening participation in Shorinji Kempo within the local community * 1 student has been given the opportunity to participate in university-level training in Shorinji Kempo in Japan, an experience that would not otherwise have been accessible to them * Members have strengthened social connections through shared meals at local Wimbledon restaurants including Grilandia, Al Forno, and Bombay Delight, as well as a Year End Social at the Dog & Fox * The club has supported the local economy by making regular use of William Morris House as its primary training venue, and by patronising local restaurants for social events throughout the year * A senior student has volunteered their time to assist with coaching and the organisation of social events, developing leadership skills while contributing to the club's activities * Members visited a fellow branch in Luton, supporting the wider Shorinji Kempo community and fostering connections between local clubs across the region
