Principal activities of the company

Directors’ Report For the period ended 31 August 2025 The directors present their report and the financial statements for the period ended 31 August 2025. Principal Activity The principal activity of South West Event Management Solutions CIC during the period was the organisation and management of community events and activities for the benefit of local residents and visitors within the local area. During the year the CIC organised and supported a range of community events including Bideford Music Day, the Bideford Light Switch On Event, Bideford Christmas Food Fest, Fun Free Friday activities for local families, Bideford Fair and the Bideford and Torrington Wedding Fairs. Community Interest Statement The company continued to operate as a Community Interest Company for the benefit of the wider community. Grant funding and event income received during the period were applied toward the delivery of accessible community activities and events intended to support community engagement, local participation and town-centre activity. Any unspent grant funding held at the year end remains restricted for future community event delivery in accordance with funding agreements. Directors The directors who served during the period were: Miss Lucy Lowe Mr Leighroy Hearn Directors’ Remuneration and Related Party Transactions During the period, director Lucy Lowe received payments totalling £2,313.94 in relation to event organisation services and associated expenses connected with Bideford Fair and the Bideford and Torrington Wedding Fairs. These payments related to operational event management services undertaken on behalf of the CIC. Other services provided to the CIC during the period were undertaken on a voluntary basis. Leighroy Hearn received £960 towards storage costs for storage of event related materials in the storage yard he hires for his building business. This was a fair charge considering the proportion of space being used for storage and was appropriate for the space used. Small Company Provisions This report has been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies entitled to the micro-entities regime under the Companies Act 2006.

Company activities and impact

South West Event management Solutions CIC has organised and supported the organisation of numerous community events this year including: Fun Free Fridays - free activities for local families, Bideford Christmas Light Switch On, Christmas Food Festival, New Years Eve Children's Party, Community Dip, donations to Torrington Mayfair and provision of services, Torrington Markets - continuation of lease holding for the Market which is volunteer led. The continued recruitment, training and checking of volunteers.
