The CIC benefitted 16 choir members through weekly meetings covering rehearsals, wellbeing check-ins and connection. Members are women with additional caring responsibilities and/or long term health conditions. The group provides a supportive and safe space for activities. The CIC benefitted the wider community through performances at community events, residential care homes, health hubs and charity fundraising events. Examples of causes and organisations helped include The Downes Nursing Home (Hayle), St.Mary's Care Home (Penzance), St.Theresa's (Marazion), The Firefighters Charity, Nancledra School, St.Johns School (Camborne), Troon Community Hub and community events in Camborne, Redruth, Madron, Goldsithney, Illogan and Truro. We held out first charity concert for CLEAR Emotional Trauma and Therapy Specialists, raising over £3,000 to support child and adult survivors of abuse and other emotional trauma, More than 100 people attended which also raised ongoing awareness of the important work that CLEAR does across Cornwall.
Our stakeholders are the members of the choir who are regularly consulted on musical direction, charitable activities and prioritisation of performances. Consultation was also held around subscriptions and meeting times.
No remuneration was received
