During the financial year 2024/25, Explore Partnership CIC continued to deliver activities that support children, young people, families and communities across Knowsley. Through direct delivery, partnership working and community engagement, the company has benefited the community in the following ways: 1. Delivered regular Kidz Zone sessions in Halewood and Huyton, providing children with access to creative, physical and wellbeing activities that promote healthy lifestyles, confidence and social connection 2. Delivered Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programmes during school holiday periods, providing children with free nutritious meals, enrichment activities and safe places to spend time with their peers 3. Developed and launched a new Youth Zone programme for young people aged 11+, creating opportunities for positive social interaction, physical activity, personal development and wellbeing support 4. Delivered the Knowsley Sharing Santa campaign, redistributing donated toys, books and gifts to local families and helping to ensure hundreds of children received presents during the festive period 5. Provided practical support to families experiencing financial hardship through community outreach, signposting and access to essential items and seasonal support initiatives 6. Secured and commenced the transformation of a vacant retail unit on Camberley Drive, Halewood, into The Hub, a new community facility designed to provide activities, advice, support and opportunities for local residents 7. Engaged with residents, community groups, schools and partner organisations to identify local needs and shape services based on community feedback and lived experience 8. Worked alongside public sector, health, education and voluntary sector partners to improve opportunities for children and families and maximise the impact of available resources As a result of these activities: More than 2,500 children, young people and adults directly benefited from our programmes, events and support activities. Children and young people increased their participation in positive activities that promote physical health, emotional wellbeing and social inclusion. Families facing financial pressures received practical support and access to community resources. Local residents gained access to new opportunities for engagement, support and community participation through the development of The Hub. Stronger partnerships were established across the borough, helping to improve coordination of services and increase support available to local communities. The company remains committed to tackling poverty, exploring solutions and creating positive change through community-led activities and services that improve outcomes for local people.
Explore Partnership CIC places community engagement at the heart of its work and regularly consults with stakeholders to ensure services respond to local needs and priorities. Our stakeholders include: * Children and young people participating in our activities * Parents, carers and families * Local residents * Schools and educational settings * Health partners, including Primary Care Networks (PCNs) * Community and voluntary organisations * Funding bodies and delivery partners * Local authority teams How stakeholders have been consulted: We gather feedback through conversations with participants and families at activities and events, written evaluation forms, surveys, community engagement sessions, partnership meetings, school consultations and discussions with local residents. We also work closely with schools, health partners and community organisations to identify emerging needs and opportunities for support. Actions taken in response to consultation and feedback: * Expanded our programme offer to include a wider range of wellbeing, physical activity and creative sessions for children and young people. * Developed plans for a dedicated Youth Zone programme following feedback highlighting the need for more activities for older children and teenagers. * Shaped the development of The Hub on Camberley Drive through discussions with residents, young people and local partners, ensuring the space reflects community priorities. * Adjusted activity timings and delivery arrangements to improve accessibility for families. * Enhanced holiday provision and family support activities in response to feedback about cost-of-living pressures and the need for affordable local opportunities. Through ongoing consultation, Explore Partnership CIC continues to ensure that its activities are informed by local people and deliver meaningful benefits to the communities it serves.
