We provide community cohesion training and workshops for both adults and young people aimed at strengthening relationships across diverse communities, encouraging mutual respect, reducing social isolation, and promoting active citizenship. These workshops focus on topics such as equality and diversity, conflict resolution, cultural awareness, teamwork, leadership, safeguarding, and effective communication. Through interactive sessions, mentoring, and group activities, participants are empowered to develop confidence, social responsibility, and a deeper appreciation of multicultural communities. In addition, we provide health-related training programmes and organise public lectures designed to improve health awareness and wellbeing within the community. These sessions address important issues such as mental health awareness, healthy living, preventive healthcare, wellbeing in later life, healthcare access, and health inequalities affecting minority ethnic communities. We also organise educational events and public lectures that promote awareness and appreciation of African and Igbo culture. These initiatives celebrate the richness of African heritage through discussions on history, language, values, traditions, music, family systems, and community identity. By creating opportunities for cultural exchange and learning, the programmes help preserve cultural heritage, encourage intergenerational understanding, and foster stronger community connections among people from diverse backgrounds.
Stakeholders: Igbo community leaders and people who access the service. Action: Inclusion of British Values and mental health related topics in workshops
