Company activities and impact

Consistent with its Objects within its Articles of Association, the Company conducts activities which benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) to advance education, health, animal welfare and environmental protection and improvement by conducting, supporting and publishing scientific research into and advocating for and promoting the benefits of plant-based and other sustainable nutritional strategies for both human and animal consumption. This has been achieved through conducting and commissioning scientific research, with several scientific studies published; through educational outreach and advocacy, with multiple presentations provided at conferences, universities and elsewhere; and through collaboration and sector support, with multiple research briefings provided to other organisations within the sector, including companies producing plant-based and other sustainable diets for pets.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company occasionally consults its Directors, other organisations within the sector, including companies producing plant-based and other sustainable diets for pets, and researchers. Feedback gleaned supports the evidence-based development of our advice, information, and research briefings for relevant stakeholders such as veterinary and animal health-related organisations and individuals, pet food manufacturers and similar audiences.

This information is provided within the accounts. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
