In the period stated, Aerial Gymnastics Community Events CIC, has continued and built on the foundations set in its first period. Using gymnastics as a platform to engage the local Croxteth community and to diversify its positive influence using different projects and initiatives for positive outcomes in the local community. Aerial GCE has continued its very successful HAF programme delivery on behalf of the Department of Education and Liverpool City Council. The programme continues to engage children on free school meals from disadvantaged back grounds to taking part in gymnastics and fun activities in the school holidays, with a healthy food provision being paramount. AGCE has continued to and developed young leaders to help engage older teenage girls to remain connected to the club, or attract new older members, by providing opportunities with done responsibility and development to encourage leadership and develop skills essential for employment. AGCE CiC has created a strong link with local social housing provider Cobalt. This link has enable a community based drop in gymnastics session to be ran once a week totally free of charge. This session helps us continue our young leader development and provide coaching and helping opportunities. It also enables girls to participate in a free activity. The only activity in the sports centre that has a female focus and is totally accessible. In 2024/2025 a recycling leotard scheme established and pre loved leotards from families were used to fundraise, but more importantly used to assist families so that participants in cos and projects had access to a free of charge leotard. Local businesses approached and involved supporting this recycling scheme also bought leotards and sports kit to support participants. Local charity An Hour for Others, and the links developed with them enabled some young leaders to gain retail and volunteering experience in a charity shop environment. Collaborations with this local charity enabled coaches and volunteers to assist in engaging local businesses to support as part of their corporate social responsibility. As a direct result of young leaders and local community volunteers being supported at AGCE, 2025 seen HAF develop and established in both Liverpool and Knowsley Councils. Connecting with a local school in Knowsley and Knowsley Council via One Knowsley to develop a gymnastics HAF programme, which was a massive hit in the community. The young leaders that had attended previous HAF’s now coaching and leading camps as employed coaches. The positive impact on children was being reported back to schools, by the children themselves, and this lead to one particular school partnership being developed. Local school Croxteth Primary, had several students attending our club and community projects. The effect on their students was do positive they wanted to use AGCE to provide gymnastics sessions to SEND children in their school. An amazing impact this had with children then engaging in our HAF provision from this. Adult and boys classes developed. Mums group developed and volunteer opportunities developed from this. Supporting the Love to Move Programme and Dementia UIK’s collaboration by using BG qualified coaches to develop the seated exercise plan in local community groups. Collaboration with local Together Stronger Group and collaborating and developing programmes for employability, ready possibly for 2026/2027. Developing links with Knowsley Council and establishing a regular community gymnastics group and session to compliment tie school holiday programme.
