PART 1 - GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY’S ACTIVITIES AND IMPACT In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. During the financial year, GoldenToken CIC continued to operate as a community hub supporting young people, families, and local residents across Rowlatts Hill and the wider Leicester community. The organisation delivered a wide range of educational, wellbeing, sports, and employability activities aimed at improving opportunities, confidence, and community cohesion. Over the year, GoldenToken maintained strong community engagement, with an average of 200–299 engagement visits per month from young people, parents, and community members accessing services and activities at the centre. GoldenToken worked closely with the AAA Foundation to deliver over 20 youth engagement sessions across several youth hubs in Leicester, including Netherhall Youth Hub, Beaumont Leys Youth Hub, and Saffron Lane Youth Hub. These sessions focused on personal development, positive engagement, and encouraging young people to pursue safer and more constructive pathways. The organisation also delivered digital media, employability, and entrepreneurship workshops, including an 8-week entrepreneurship programme for young people. Participants were supported to develop business ideas, create business plans, and improve their confidence and career prospects. Several young people submitted their business ideas to the Peter Jones Academy, with one participant reaching the semi-final stage. GoldenToken delivered over 30 football sessions throughout the year, providing opportunities for physical activity, teamwork, discipline, and positive social interaction. A community football event was also held during the summer with support from the AAA Foundation. To support community safety and wellbeing, GoldenToken delivered workshops on knife crime awareness and online safety. These sessions helped young people better understand risks, make informed decisions, and build healthier relationships. The organisation also supported adults and families within the community by providing ESOL and maths classes for parents during school hours. These sessions improved confidence, language skills, and access to wider opportunities for local families. In addition, GoldenToken continued to provide practical support to vulnerable members of the community through food support, signposting, and community-based assistance where needed. Overall, GoldenToken CIC has continued to make a positive impact within the local community by creating safe spaces, supporting young people’s development, improving wellbeing, and strengthening community relationships across diverse groups.
