During the financial year, Steel Evolution MMA CIC continued to provide mixed martial arts, fitness, mentoring and community-based activities for children, young people and adults. The company delivered regular classes for both children and adults, creating a safe, structured and welcoming environment where members of the community could improve their physical fitness, confidence, discipline and wellbeing. Through martial arts training, participants were encouraged to develop respect, self-control, focus, teamwork and positive behaviour. Steel Evolution MMA CIC also delivered activities funded by the local council through the Holiday Activities and Food Programme. These sessions provided children and young people with a safe and active place to attend during school holidays, giving them access to structured sport, positive role models, social interaction and support. The programme also helped families by providing meaningful activities for children during holiday periods. In addition to sport and fitness, the company worked closely with young people through informal mentoring, conversations and guidance. The aim was to support young people in making better choices, building confidence and staying away from negative influences. A key focus of the company’s work has been crime prevention and creating a safe community space where young people feel supported, listened to and encouraged. The company’s activities benefited the community by promoting healthier lifestyles, reducing isolation, supporting young people’s personal development, encouraging positive behaviour and contributing to a safer local environment. Steel Evolution MMA CIC continues to use martial arts, fitness and mentoring as tools to strengthen the community and provide opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds.
The company’s stakeholders include children and young people attending the sessions, adult participants, parents and carers, local families, the local council, HAF programme representatives, coaches, volunteers, community partners and the wider local community. Steel Evolution MMA CIC consults with stakeholders through regular conversations during and after sessions, feedback from parents and carers, discussions with young people, observations from coaches, and communication with the local council and HAF programme representatives. Feedback is also gathered informally during community activities and through ongoing contact with families who use the company’s services. As a result of stakeholder feedback, the company has continued to develop its activities to meet the needs of the community. This includes providing a safe and welcoming space for children and young people, offering structured classes for both children and adults, supporting young people through mentoring and positive conversations, and focusing on crime prevention and community safety. Feedback from families and young people has helped the company shape sessions to be engaging, supportive and accessible. The company has also taken feedback into account when delivering council-funded HAF activities, ensuring that sessions provide structured physical activity, positive role models, support for young people and a safe environment during school holidays. Steel Evolution MMA CIC will continue to listen to its stakeholders and use their feedback to improve its services and increase its positive impact within the community.
