COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

THE WISE+ CIC

Company Number: 15071149 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 August 2025

Company activities and impact

Over the past year, the Director has used her lived experience, professional systems background, and community connections to help bring people, organisations, and ideas together around health inequalities, advocacy, and prevention. Through WISE+ CIC, she has supported conversations across the VCSE sector, local health alliances, research networks, and community groups, particularly in areas of multiple deprivation in both the North East and Kent. She has developed and shared accessible resources and awareness materials relating to hidden and under-recognised conditions, patient advocacy, and the challenges people face navigating fragmented systems. She has also worked to connect community voices with professionals in health, research, and social enterprise spaces, helping ensure lived experience is represented in wider discussions. Alongside this, she has been developing practical concepts and tools designed to improve accessibility, signposting, and support for people experiencing complex health and social challenges. This includes early work on advocacy resources, support pathways, and community-led approaches to better use of health data and lived experience insight. Much of this work has been voluntary and relationship-based, focused on collaboration, prevention, reducing isolation, and helping people feel seen, heard, and better connected to support.
