Over the past year, The Swansea Positive CIC has continued its mission to inspire hope and well-being in Swansea through communicating and celebrating the positive aspects of the city. We have produced and distributed two printed issues of our local publication, celebrating community projects, local heroes, and sustainable initiatives. These publications have reached schools, cafes, libraries and community venues across the city. We have also grown our community network, collaborated with local artists and writers. We have expanded our volunteering team and have worked on idnetifying new funding streams. The Swansea Positive also has a positive impact on the team of volunteers who put each issue together, providing an opportunity for collaboration, creativity and community.
Our stakeholders include local residents, community organisations, small businesses, schools, artists, and contributors who engage with The Swansea Positive magazine. We maintain ongoing, informal consultation through conversations, social media engagement, and feedback from distribution partners. In addition, we host regular co-creation meetings, which are open to all and provide a welcoming space for people to contribute content ideas, share stories, and support the distribution of the magazine across the city. As a result of this collaborative approach, we've introduced new regular features, and ensured a stronger focus on themes suggested by stakeholders-such as positive mental health, sustainability, and community resilience. We've also expanded our distribution network in response to suggestions from partners and readers
