During the financial year, Riverside Farm Animal Rescue CIC’s activities have benefited the community in the following ways: - 33 chickens and 3 cockerels were rescued and provided with safe accommodation, ongoing care, and protection from neglect or harm - the rehabilitation and recovery of 2 horses was supported, helping to improve their health, welfare, and long-term wellbeing - end of life care for 1 horse and care provisions for a miscarried horse. - ongoing care, feeding, and welfare support was provided for 6 resident horses, as well as a swan and several geese - educational and awareness-raising sessions on responsible pet ownership, animal welfare, and animal rights were delivered to approximately 60 people within the local community - the company has helped to promote greater awareness of compassionate animal care and responsible ownership practices, encouraging improved welfare standards for both domestic and farm animals All of the above activities were undertaken without income during the financial year, with care and rescue work continuing through voluntary effort and personal financial support.
