COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

ECHO YOUTH THEATRE C.I.C.

Company Number: 10936328 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 August 2025

Company activities and impact

Echo Youth Theatre is a volunteer-run youth theatre group, whose activities fall into 3 core groups: - our primary focus is staging theatre productions for young people aged 8-18; - we also work with Norfolk County Council to provide free accessible theatre skills workshops during the school holidays as part of the government's HAF programme; - and we run our rehearsal venue which is hired out to other community user groups. In this FY we have produced 3 plays and 2 full scale musicals. These productions have given over 60 young people the opportunity to experience high quality, independent theatre productions outside of school and other training. In addition a further 143 young people experienced the audition process for the productions. Across the five productions, a futher 7 young people have gained experience on technical theatre support, backstage roles and marketing. 5 children were sponsored through our Youth Enabling Scheme (YES Fund) which provided financial assistance towards the cost of participation. Due to a reduction in government funding in 2025, we ran only 12 theatre activity days funded by Norfolk County Council this year, but the 12 days provided 432 free spaces to eligible children. Our venue has been used by 17 seperate community groups this year and most of those users have been volunteer run community groups. The venue has also had frequent private hires for private social events.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our primary stakeholders are our participating young people and their parents. We ask for feedback after each event and encourage regular contributions and ideas from both young people and parents. Other stakeholders include our regular venue hirers.

Directors' remuneration

No remuneration was received

Transfer of assets
