Principal Activities 1. Providing Free English Lessons to Ukrainian Children Affected by War The company delivers free English language education specifically for children who have been impacted by the war in Ukraine - including those who have lost homes, been displaced, or have family members serving in the armed forces. 2. Supporting Educational Opportunities and Well-Being EdUkraine emphasises the importance of learning English not just for linguistic skills but as a means to support children’s overall development, well-being, confidence, and future integration into education and society. 3. Focusing on Children’s Mental and Cognitive Development Through Education. The organisation highlights that learning aids children’s mental health, self-esteem, and social integration after traumatic experiences related to war - positioning education as a stabilising and empowering activity. During the financial year 2025-2026, the company provided free English lessons to children (6-7 y.o.) in Irpin, Ukraine, all from vulnerable groups, including displaced families, children of those serving in the army, and children who have lost family members due to the war. Most lessons were delivered in-person with the group, where children worked directly with the tutor, except on occasions when air raid alerts prevented them from leaving their homes. All lessons were conducted once or twice a week during summer months in June and July 2025, supporting the children’s language development, educational progress, and social well-being. During the financial year, the company’s funds were used to support its community activities, including the organisation of our first fundraising event held at Shipley Library, West Yorkshire, on 28 February 2026. The event was a family art workshop that brought together local families and members of the community. As part of the workshop, participants were introduced to the work of renowned Ukrainian folk artist Maria Prymachenko, celebrating Ukrainian culture through creativity and shared learning.
Yes. Feedback was gathered from programme participants, families and community members following the company’s educational and cultural activities. The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive and helped inform the company’s future activities and support programmes.
