COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

ENERGY EFFICIENCY ASSOCIATION C.I.C.

Company Number: 10907048 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 August 2025

Company activities and impact

The company continues to provide all the services associated with being a trade body in the energy efficiency sector. We continue to provide events and conferences where members of the association can ask panels of experts and government policy advisors for advice on issues they have delivering help to the fuel poor. These have proved very helpful to the industry, and the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) now consider us to be among the major stakeholders in the industry. The company avoids lobbying policy makers on any particular policy but has been asked several times to contribute information and industry knowledge to policy discussions. We have helped the community of installers be better informed and given them support to help them succeed. We have increased the size of our membership again this year, and we now have over 100 councils, local authorities and housing associations registered as free members. As our media presence and interview engagement has been poor this year we have recently brought in someone to improve our social media engagement and that has had immediate impact. Our skills and Training website has gone live to allow colleges to list all their courses in one place. We have over 20 colleges participating already. It is hoped this will expand into a direct offering to people looking for training. We continue to work towards helping all those addressing fuel poverty across the UK

Consultation with stakeholders

In November we held our AGM where the directors outlined the plans for the next year and where all stakeholders in the Association were able to attend in person or online. Throughout the year we also invite stakeholders to join us for discussion sessions at our conferences. Every spring we issue a survey of the industry; this goes beyond our membership and is open to anyone involved in the energy efficiency sector to respond This year the responses were shared with Government officials to help provide a snapshot of the energy efficiency sector.

Directors and Non-Executive Directors for the Energy Efficiency Association receive paid remuneration for their time.
