Company activities and impact

1 To promote business and the community in Wantage and the surrounding area, creating a vibrant and dynamic retail, dining, and entertainment destination. 2 To help grow local business and implement initiatives to improve business within our arca of oper-ation. 3 To hold special meetings when matters of public interest arise and consider the same from the Chamber’s point of view. 4 To support any movement calculated to attract householders and employers of labour to our area. The Chamber is to be empowered to advertise the advantages of the town. 5 To connect members through events, meetings while promoting “Love Wantage” as the marketing and communication tool. 6 To act as business catalyst and represent your views to local and regional councils, trade organisa-tions and any other government bodies, hold them to account and initiate change to add value to your business. 7 To apply for funding from appropriate bodies to support local initiatives 2024-25 Activity included producing pamphlets, funded by the Vale of the White Horse Council, to highlight Wantage's atiractions as a visitor destination, including museum, cycling, pet walking etc. Representing the local business interests to Oxfordshire County Council in view of their plans to pedes-trianise the town centre. Arranging educational presentations for local businesses on topi such as Al. social media etc.
