During the financial year, Kitsch Sisters CIC delivered a range of creative, educational and wellbeing activities designed to reduce social isolation, improve mental health and wellbeing, and increase access to arts and culture. The company provided accessible workshops, creative classes, community events and social activities that encouraged participation from women and girls, people on low incomes, individuals experiencing loneliness and isolation, and people from diverse cultural and community backgrounds. Activities included arts and crafts workshops, creative learning opportunities, community gatherings and collaborative projects that promoted confidence building, social connection and personal wellbeing. The company worked to remove barriers to participation by providing affordable and subsidised opportunities for people who may not otherwise have access to creative activities. Through partnerships with community organisations, artists and facilitators, Kitsch Sisters CIC created welcoming and inclusive spaces where participants could develop new skills, build friendships and improve their sense of belonging within their communities. Any income generated by the company was reinvested into the delivery of community benefit activities, including workshop programming, materials, equipment and the development of future projects. The company continued to pursue its community interest objectives of supporting wellbeing, creativity, inclusion and community connection across Northern Ireland.
The company regularly consults with its stakeholders to ensure that activities remain relevant, accessible and beneficial to the communities it serves. Key stakeholders include participants, workshop attendees, community groups, artists and facilitators, partner organisations, funders and local residents. Consultation takes place through participant feedback forms, informal discussions during activities, social media engagement, direct communication with community partners and ongoing conversations with facilitators and volunteers. Feedback received highlighted the importance of affordable creative opportunities, welcoming social spaces and activities that support wellbeing, confidence building and community connection. In response, the company continued to offer low-cost and subsidised activities where possible, expanded opportunities for social interaction within workshops and events, and developed partnerships with community organisations to reach a wider range of participants. The company will continue to use stakeholder feedback to inform future programming and ensure that its activities remain responsive to community needs.
The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services during the financial year was 6096.15. The directors receiving remuneration were Aoife McCrory, Grainne Mullan and Bronagh Diamond. Remuneration was paid for services provided in connection with the delivery of the CIC activities, including project management, workshop facilitation, programme development, administration and operational support in furtherance of the company community benefit objectives. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, nor any compensation for loss of office which require disclosure.
